Colorado Christian Services is another organization with which our church family has a long history. CCS serves two main functions, adoption and family services. In its primary function, adoption, the case workers serve pregnant girls with crisis counseling and, when needed, the adoption of children by Christian families. Several of our church families have adopted children, and others keep newborns in their homes until they are placed with the permanent adopting families (usually 4 to 10 weeks). CCS has a long and respected history of helping families in Colorado. Deaf Ministry - We also have a full time deaf minister who preaches and teaches in sign language. The deaf members are active and enjoy various activities, fellowship meals, retreats, and other events. Education Ministry - we provide free classes for general Bible study, coping with changing culture, parenting and family relationships. We provide classes for all ages from toddlers to "seasoned citizens." Our teachers focus on applying God's spiritual truths in practical, daily ways. They work hard to bring our children to faith in Jesus Christ and love for Him and one another. We believe that knowledge of God's truths builds both individual character and community unity. And, of course, all of our classes are free and open to the public. We invite you to come share in our classes, Sundays at 9:30 AM and Wednesdays at 7:00 PM. Foreign Outreach has been an important part of our work. Our church family has helped with hunger in Poland and outreach from Europe to Africa to India to China to Japan and to South and Central America. Currently our outreach efforts are more focused in Japan, China, and Central America. It is our firm belief that the Bible has all the answers to man's problems, individually and in society. The more people decide to follow God's word, the more love will build bridges between warring nations and in personal relationships. Jesus loves the people of this world, every race in every place. He has called us to teach the world the love and mercy of Jesus Christ. Military Outreach & Encouragement (M.O.R.E.)- This program is an outreach to military personnel and their families here and abroad. M.O.R.E. coordinates efforts to serve these personnel in a variety of ways. They have recently started publishing the Military Messenger. This is a periodical dedicated to providing much needed encouragement, instruction and news to soldiers, sailors their families, and others, helping them to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...” (2 Peter 3:18). Soldiers and sailors abroad face the unique challenges of separation from families and the stress of military readiness and often unfamiliar cultures. M.O.R.E. can help those personnel by providing biblically based seminars focused on a variety of topics, including family life in the military. These lessons are available to churches, large or small, throughout the world. M.O.R.E. is coordinated by two energetic retired military men who share over 40 years of combined military service. Both have preached regularly, have lived abroad and understand the needs of our service men and women. Do you have loved ones abroad? Let us know. We may be able to connect them with other Christians in their area. Mountain States Children's Home, near Longmont, Colorado, is an outreach service that houses children in nuclear family environments. The children's home has several normal houses. Each house is occupied by a husband and wife, often with children of their own, who also have orphaned, abused, or abandoned children living with them in a normal family environment. We at Dahlia are happy to help this home with monetary gifts and food and home supplies. Worship Ministry - Jesus said, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself." We do not seek to draw people by earthly means. We do not seek to draw people to a "good show," or by contrived emotions or raucous bands. We do seek to draw men, women and children to the cross of Christ, to the glorious Messiah, to the simple love and truth of Jesus Christ, the man, the Lord and the plan He has given us to follow. Our worship assemblies seek to edify and educate. They are to lift up Jesus and not man. In worship we seek to be closer to Jesus and to one another as we learn to live a life of love and caring, as we learn to imitate Jesus. In worship, we seek to please Jesus, not ourselves... we seek to bring others to Jesus and to His love and grace. We invite you to worship with us on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM and Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM. A warm welcome awaits you in our family. Youth Ministry - We have an active youth group that participates in several activities each month and also enjoys taking part in various area wide youth events. Our goal is to blend a depth of spiritual commitment with the joyful expression of God's love.
